Our rapidly growing enterprise is seeking a statistician to be a part of our Medical Products Division in Arizona. We expect this position to be based initially in Flagstaff, but to eventually move to the Phoenix area as we expand our medical business in that part of Arizona.
The core commitment for this associate is to provide statistical consulting, data analysis and training across all medical business units. The position will require 10 - 20% annual domestic travel. Start date is flexible.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
· Presenting, teaching, reviewing and technical writing.
· Collaborating with a wide variety of individuals and small teams across the division with primary support of engineers, scientists, and business leaders.
· Collaborating with other members of the statistical team.
· Utilizing and supporting statistical software (JMP®).
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will possess:
· Masters degree in Statistics is required; a PhD in Statistics is preferred. Willing to consider recent or upcoming graduates.
· Industry experience is preferred.
· Demonstrated ability to design experiments, such as response surface, blocking, screening, and split-plots designs.
· Familiarity with basic and advanced statistical methods such as ANOVA, regression, linear models, variance components and statistical process control.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Good technical writing skills are desirable.
· Ability to partner or collaborate with individuals and teams.
· Knowledge of JMP® statistical software is preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel) is desirable.
